Introducing Sangam’s Health, Wellbeing and Social activities
The Sangam Centre hosts a range of social and fitness activities to help everyone stay healthy, make new friends and, most importantly – have fun!
Below is a list of activities already available that support the mental and physical wellbeing of our users, but we ‘d like to do more – and we’re always on the lookout for new ideas and opportunities!
If you have an idea for a club or activity you’d like to run at our centre please contact us to discuss your idea, and we’ll do what we can to help you get it off the ground.
SENIOR LADIES YOGA CLASS – (Members only)
Sangam provides specialist Yoga Classes for Senior Ladies who are less able. Seniors with very limited mobility can still do Yoga through our adaptive and convenient practices. Current participants range from people with relatively mild arthritis to people who are having trouble walking. No matter how able-bodied or less able you are, you will benefit from attending this class.

MIXED-ABILITY YOGA CLASS
Our Mixed-Ability Yoga Class is accessible to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. The movements are designed to reduce stress, tension and improve the general well-being of oneself. Our classes offer a gentle but powerful means of maintaining and improving flexibility and mobility.

SUPERVISED BRIDGE CLASSES
Improve your memory and have fun learning the exciting game of Bridge in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We have various Bridge Classes for all levels that will introduce you to the fundamentals of playing Bridge. You will learn basic bidding, the play of the hand and defence. Feel comfortable playing Bridge in a friendly, supervised and easy environment for a low cost.

FRIENDS OF SANGAM – (Members only)
Friends of Sangam is a group for former and present board members to meet regularly to organise talks, workshops, network and socialise. The group meets are conducted very informally, usually for lunch, allowing the members to spend an afternoon with each other.
SENIOR LADIES CLUB
The Senior Ladies Club is held at Sangam and it encompasses various social, educational, recreational and religious activities under its umbrella for the elderly community. The members benefit from taking part in:
The Social Club Specialist Talks and Awareness Sessions, Events & Outings, Cultural & Religious celebrations and Healthy Living Surgeries.
